I've spent my entire career in coffee. Not just drinking it — studying it, teaching it, building businesses around it. I know this bean inside out. But for years I was stuck in the same cycle as everyone else: caffeine to get going, sugar to keep going, alcohol to switch off. Over and over. I was running a business, raising a young family, and running on empty.
Eventually, the whole thing caught up with me. I burnt out. Properly. At the time it was the worst thing that ever happened to me. Looking back, it was the best. It forced me to rethink everything — starting with the thing I knew best. Coffee.
In 2020, I started experimenting. I'd always looked at coffee through a health lens, but now I went deeper — combining speciality-grade arabica with organic medicinal mushrooms. Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi. Every single morning. Within weeks, something shifted. The crashes stopped. The fog cleared. The focus locked in — and stayed there.
