Health Benefits
Coffee is called a nootropic aka a cognitive enhancer. Caffeine is the primary active ingredient in coffee.Black coffee also contains many vitamins (B2/3/5, Manganese, Potassium, as well as polyphenols which act as antioxidants for the body.
Things to note: Coffee is graded on a score out of 100. Anything over 80 is considered speciality grade. As a consumer the main thing you notice as the grade goes higher is that the flavour profile of the coffee become more pronounced and obvious e.g. Ethiopian coffee can taste of citrus fruits and flowers. Lower grades of ethiopian you won't notice this flavour but at the higher level it's like someone has squeezed a lime into your coffee. It's amazing. The coffee beans are influenced by Terroir (Similar to wine).

Coffee brought me here. Mushrooms optimise my life.
I began my coffee journey in 2010, discovering a passion for this fruit and its adventures. By 2011, I was teaching coffee-making and founded Dublin Barista School, training over 25,000 baristas since 2013. Business challenges led to stress and burnout, prompting me to explore science for solutions. In 2020, I experimented with medicinal mushrooms in my coffee, feeling rejuvenated and eager to share this experience.After sampling various mushroom coffees, I found a gap in the market for a product that's both beneficial and delicious. This led to the creation of OYL (Optimise Your Life), a blend of my love for coffee and health, offering a unique and special product.
